In order to be able to successfully apply Artificial Intelligence, it is imperative to be in control of your data. For Nouryon (formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals), Aime conducted a feasibility study between August and September 2018 to see how AI can be deployed for their customers.
After a go from Nouryon – the new name of the chemical unit of AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals – we worked on the pilot web application Polymer Chemistry Data Search over the last couple of weeks. With this application, Nouryon Polymer Chemistry employees can easily find the lab data they need. This way, customer questions can be answered in a faster way, rendering substantial time savings which lab employees can spend on innovative work.
Today, we presented Nouryon employees the first results of the Data Search pilot, together with a first version of the web application. The Nouryon employees were satisfied with the results and many new ideas were raised. We are thus looking forward to delivering the final prototype!
